Who we are
A 25 Year Pursuit of Better Movement
Thunder & Wind Performance is the culmination of a 25-year pursuit to better understand health, movement, and the human body.
My interest in health and movement began at 18, when my first major injury forced me to learn how to recover and get back to the activities I enjoyed. What began as a practical effort to understand and heal my own body grew over time into something much broader: a philosophy centered on preserving physical capability, staying strong, mobile, and being able to continue doing the things I love as I age.
Much of what shapes my approach today has come from that journey: years of clinical practice, study, training, injury, recovery, and the ongoing process of learning what helps the body function at its best.

Movement & Experience
Movement as Education
Movement has been a constant throughout my life—from breakdancing and martial arts to strength training, running, cycling, and other physical pursuits. Along the way, injuries became their own education in recovery, adaptation, and what it takes to keep a body moving well over time.
The Past Informs the Present
Those experiences continue to shape how I approach treatment. The goal isn't simply to reduce pain, but to understand what's limiting movement and help you return to the activities that matter to you.

Ready to Get Back to What You Do?
Focused treatment for pain, injury, and movement limitations built around helping you return to the activities that matter to you.
Deep study and educational training have forged my approach. Experience is where my knowledge has been sharpened.

Where the approach came from
Training & Experience
My approach wasn't developed from a single system or technique. It evolved through formal training, clinical experience, movement, and years of integrating what proved useful in practice.

01
Sports Medicine & Trigger Points
Early in practice, several years treating a large CrossFit population shifted my focus toward sports injuries and precise trigger-point needling. Travell & Simons’ trigger-point texts, anatomy references, and sports-medicine training became foundational resources as I developed a palpation-driven approach to treatment.
02
Manual Therapy & Clinical Practice
My hands-on work developed through deep-tissue techniques, Tui Na, myofascial training, and years of treating patients in practice. Rather than adhering to a single manual therapy system, I kept refining the techniques that consistently restored motion, reduced restriction, and complemented the needling work.
03
Movement & Strength
More than 25 years of movement from martial arts and strength training to running and cycling gave me a practical understanding of how the body moves under different demands. That experience continues to shape how I think about alignment, mobility, stability, load, and injury.
04
Injury, Recovery, & Integration
Recovering from my own injuries changed the way I think about rehabilitation. Combined with more than 15 years in clinical practice, those experiences taught me to question assumptions, evaluate new ideas critically, and integrate what proves useful into a broader anatomical and movement framework.
